Adventure Lab Programs 2025
Below is a selection of programs The Adventure Lab offers with the related Ohio State Standards. While this isn’t the entire list of programs we offer, this is simply a snapshot of how our programs are closely tied to State Standards.
Standards are reflective of Middle Grades with an understanding that the equivalent HS standards can be taught as well based on grade level. All standards are relative to grade level, and programs can be adjusted to meet certain grade specific standard requirements.
Note: Literacy and SEL standards can be added to ALL programs
Animation
See your own drawings and creations come to life through Animation! Whether you’re a drawer or just like to watch cartoons, animation is accessible to anyone. Discover different ways animators create, create your own animations, and learn about animation as a career field.

Color outside the lines! Learn the elements of art through various hands-on activities. Discover design applications individually and cooperatively while exploring various media and mediums. Anyone can be an artist, let us give you the tools that’ll show you how!

Communication
90% of communication is nonverbal, and knowing how to be a good communicator is a skill that will be used every day of your life. Through various group activities, learn how people efficiently listen and communicate with each other. As a group, learn and practice various communication skills with real world examples.

Dance
Dance has strong roots in culture and history, and has evolved into an art form that supports physical health. Learn about styles and types of dance, how emotions are expressed through dance, and careers people have in dance. Explore these styles personally and through observation and discussion.

Digital Technology
Students will comprehend how electronic devices work and how to use them effectively. Learn a brief history of the changes in digital technology and discuss how technology today compares with the technology available to previous generations—all while imagining what kinds of devices might be available to them in the future.

Engineering
Combining science and technology, engineering uses physics to turn ideas into a reality in a safe and efficient way. Through investigative activities students will learn how engineers study the world to create the perfect vessel for whatever they need. After study and planning, students will build and execute a miniature model of their own design, incorporating what they have learned. Explore engineering as a career and talk with real life engineers about the industry.

Fingerprinting
Students will learn about the important technique of fingerprinting and how it is used by law enforcement officers. Through hands-on experiences, students will gain additional insight into other identification methods like matching dental records and DNA sampling, and understand it’s importance to help identify amnesia victims, missing persons, abducted children, and others.

First Aid
No matter where life takes you, it is important to know how to take care of yourself and others in spontaneous medical situations. Knowing First Aid will allow you to be able to provide immediate care for someone who is hurt or becomes ill, help prevent infection or blood loss, and can even save a life!
