Director of Great Lakes Adventures
Mike is a 16-year veteran of program development and delivery with experience giving leadership to camps in 7 states. He brings creativity and innovation to the work that he does, whether it is the creation of in-person and virtual lessons or multi-day outdoor camping adventures. In the role of Director of Great Lakes Adventures, Mike gives leadership to our Adventure Lab and Great Lakes Adventures teams while also working directly with partnering organizations to create tailor-made educational solutions for scholars of all ages.

Sarah Demetruk
Great Lakes Adventures Lead Instructor
Sarah is the lead instructor for Adventure Lab, where she brings energy, expertise, and creativity to every hands-on experience. Sarah delivers engaging, youth-focused programs that spark curiosity and build real-world skills. Her passion for teaching and commitment to making learning fun are at the heart of every Adventure Lab session.

Anthony Dworning
Director of Camping & Properties
Anthony serves as the Camp Director for Great Lakes Adventures, providing strong leadership to our Outdoor Education Team to help create life-changing experiences for young people and adults. He has been part of the Great Lakes Adventures team since the program’s launch in 2021.
With over 10 years of experience in camp management, Anthony brings deep knowledge, passion, and dedication to mission-driven outdoor programming. He is a graduate of Kent State University, where he earned a minor in Recreation Management.

Dan Goerndt
Camp Program Director
Dan serves as the Camp Program Director for Great Lakes Adventures, where he leads the creation and planning of innovative, mission-driven camp programs and experiences. With a passion for experiential learning and youth development, Dan ensures every program is engaging, impactful, and aligned with our vision.
He manages a dynamic, mission-focused camp staff, providing daily guidance and support to bring our camp’s goals to life. Dan has been part of the Great Lakes Adventures team since 2023 and continues to inspire both staff and campers through his dedication and leadership.

Marc Ryan
CEO
Marc Ryan brings an extensive background and over 30 years of experience in outdoor adventures to the team. With a passion for getting young people outside, Marc has operated camps of all sizes in five different states. As our CEO, Marc drives the vision for our programs and oversees improvements and upgrades to our facilities that create mountaintop experiences for our guests.
